about

When I wrote this tune, I was pissed off at my situation and the situation my country was in. I was working in a job I didn't enjoy. I was mad, but I wasn't doing anything except bitching about it

I wrote this tune to remind myself and others that if you want to change the world, you can't stand by and watch.

lyrics

A sleepwalkin collar with nowhere to go
Except back to work to put his head in the hole
Then he has the nerve to bitch and complain
That all the walls around him are always the same

He has his problems but don't we all
Start dialin questions man
And the answers will call

You wanna change you world you can't stand by
And just so you know man it starts inside
You gotta stop stumblin in darkness,
to start walkin in light
You wanna change you world you can't stand by

Every four years he goes out to vote
For the less of two evils, its easy, why rock the boat
They talk with two faces but its not a lie
Cuz we trust our TV's more than our two eyes

Turn off the TV let your mind grow
Take that cold shower man
Before there's no hope

You wanna change you world you can't stand by
And just so you know man it starts inside
You gotta stop stumblin in darkness,
to start walkin in light
You wanna change you world you can't stand by

Sally burned her bra and fights with picket signs
With nothin but the faces of our children on her mind
No diamond rings no picket fence no shopping sprees
She gave it all away, so we could see
WHY DON’T WE SEE?

She gave her all head high and walkin tall
Bloody lips and bruises man
Don't you let it go to waste

You wanna change you world you can't stand by
And just so you know man it starts inside
You gotta stop stumblin in darkness
To start walkin in light
You wanna change you world you can't stand by
